Description

Come play on these new courts in Glendale!

We will be offering this league on Sunday afternoons at El Potrero in Glendale - By the intersection of Colorado Blvd and Alameda!

You'll play one full hour match every week. Game times start at 12:00 PM to 6 PM. Matches are comprised of 3 sets (25, 25, 25 rally scoring). You get to play the most volleyball with Mile High Sport & Social Club!

We are offering three different leagues:
Coed Doubles (1 male / 1 female)
Women's Doubles (2 female)
Men's Doubles (2 male)

Each of these leagues are for intermediate to advanced players.

This league will use King of the Beach Volleyballs.

This is a 7 week league with a big end of the season tournament!

Week 1 - 6/4
Week 2 - 6/11
Week 3 - 6/18
Week 4 - 6/25
Week 5 - 5/22
Week 6 - 7/2 - OFF
Week 7 - 7/9
Week 8 - 7/16 - Tournament Date

All players will have access to the great drink specials at the bar right beside the courts!

Your league will have its own update page with current schedule, standings and more.

This doubles league is self-officiated, but we will have league monitors to help score keep and help settle rule clarifications.

Don't have a full team? No worries! Register as an individual and we'll get you placed on a team in this AWESOME league!

Registration Instructions

Signing-up a full team - A player from the team must complete on-line registration through the PlayPass website by selecting a team registration option. Once registration is completed, a player from the team must e-mail the league office (MileHighSSC@gmail.com) with your team's roster including the following information:

Name
E-mail Address
Phone Number
Okay to text?
Address

It is acceptable to take a few days to gather the required information from your teammates, but it must be submitted 4 business days prior to the league start date.

Signing-up a small group - If you and a few friends want to play together, we make it as easy as possible. Please register with the individual registration option. On the last question of registration, there will be a spot to list your the names of the other people in your group. Each person in your group will need to individually register as well. We will make sure to place you and the rest of your group together on the same team. Have a friend that wants to join after you registered and you want to make sure you play together? Simply e-mail Mike at MileHighSSC@gmail.com or call at 303-923-5645 to update us and we'll make it happen!

Signing-up as an individual - New to town, don't know anybody that plays volleyball or can't convince anyone to join you on the volleyball court? No problem! We've placed over 600 individuals this past year on to different teams. Simply register using the individual registration option and we'll get you playing. Most of the time we will place you onto a team of other individual players. Occasionally you may be added to a returning team that needs an additional player or two to round out their roster.

Skill levels:

Recreational - players from first-time players to low level intermediate players are welcome. This is a picnic-style volleyball league, where the rules are loosely enforced, and everyone gets to come out and have a good time.

Intermediate - players should always be aiming for a 3 hit offense and should routinely be able to serve and receive serve. Players are aware of the rules and will call themselves for illegal touches, lifts, doubles, etc. Hand-sets in this league will allow for some leniency.

Advanced - Truly among the better players in our leagues. Players are extremely proficient at hand sets, serves, hitting/receiving and passing. In our 6's leagues, players are expected to know and run a 6-2 or 5-1 offense. In our 4's league, players are expected to be able to cover and defend in either box or diamond formation and have high efficiency offenses.
