Students leave with a working vocabulary for every money decision ahead of them. Module 2 — Loans & Assets How to responsibly afford a car, the real cost of owning one, and the tradeoffs between renting and owning a home — knowledge most adults had to learn the hard way. Module 3 — Banking & Credit Reading a paycheck, understanding gross vs. net pay, and — critically — how credit scores are built, protected, and damaged. A strong credit score opens doors for decades; a bad one closes them. Module 4 — Financial Planning Real Connecticut college costs, how student loans work, financial aid, and building a personal spending/saving plan using proven budgeting frameworks. Module 5 — Business & Entrepreneurship What it takes to start a business: startup costs, business structures, taxes, insurance, and calculating real profit — planting the seed for the next generation of entrepreneurs. Knowledge only sticks when you use it. In our final 3 modules, students work in teams of 3-8 to apply everything they’ve learned to real research and real numbers — then present their work to the class. Module 6 — Design Your Life: Teams are handed a real career and salary and have to build that person a full monthly budget, banking plan, and savings goal. Module 7 — The Big Purchase: Teams research actual car or home listings online and decide — with real math — whether to finance or lease, rent or buy. Module 8 — Startup Pitch: Teams design a small business, price real startup costs, project profit, and pitch it Shark-Tank style. Why It Matters Financial literacy isn’t just about money — it’s about confidence, independence, and decision-making. Students who understand credit, budgeting, and planning early are set up to avoid the debt traps and money stress that follow so many adults into their 30s and 40s. This program builds those habits now, while the stakes are still low and the lessons can still shape a lifetime.","organizer":{"id":"OWe9GLD","url":"https://playpass.com/go/OWe9GLD","name":"Community Level Up Programs"},"pricing_options":[{"id":"CbJoSUQ","name":"Student Registration","amount_cents":0,"currency":"usd","available":true,"timezone":"America/New_York","installment_enabled":false}],"products":[]}},"meta":{"api_version":"2026-02-08","request_id":"4e2e9305-f61e-490c-9488-f67603da8266"}}
