Metal cleats ARE NOT allowed. Only softball bats are allowed. Game times are set. If you do not have a minimum of 8 players at time, your team forfeits. Each batter starts with one ball and one strike. On the first pitch, play follows normal play. Only one additional foul ball is allowed. Bat the entire bench. Unlimited defensive player changes provided that the game is not delayed. If a player is injured or physically disabled, they may leave and return when they are once again able to play. Players may take a lead once the ball is hit. NO STEALING! Bunting IS NOT allowed. Only 1 homerun permitted per team per inning. Each additional Homerun will be considered an OUT. This does not include in the park Homeruns. Each team may score up to Seven runs per inning. Once Seven runs have been scored, the first half of the inning is over. In the opening rounds, games will last four innings or 1hour time limit. In the event of the game being tied after four innings, there will be a cap of one extra inning. If a winner has not emerged after the final inning, the game will be deemed a tie. The championship game will last five innings. In the event of the game being tied after five innings. Florida tie breaker is in effect. Last batted out starts on second base and start the inning with one out. “Happy Gilmore” swings, or swings in which a batter takes a running start to the ball are not allowed and will result in an automatic out. Runners may not slide legs up or with the intent to take out the defender. Interference will be called and the runner will be out. Borrowing players, must be approved by the tournament director. The infield fly rule will be enforced. This is Co-Ed. Teams must have at least 4 female players on the field when playing defense.
