Team Registration

PRICING
– KSHS 12,000 before 1st of March
– KSHS 15,000 before 1st of April
– KSHS 18,000 after 1st of April

SLOT DEPOSIT
– Payment of deposit does not guarantee that the team will play in the tournament.
– Teams that have paid a higher deposit may automatically take the slot of another team that has paid a higher amount.

REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS
– There will be no refunds to teams that are caught cheating before or during the tournament.
– 50% refund to a team that gives a two weeks notice of their intention of not participating in the tournament.
– 100% refund only when evidence of unavoidable circumstance is presented.
– No team registration on credit or transfers from the previous tournament.
– Team registration fee is not transferable.

VERIFICATION
– Players need to enter their details at playpass.com/kitocup before coming for verification.
– No teams will be allowed to verify until they have paid the full registration amount.
– Teams are allowed 2 overage players only.
– Overage players are only allowed to be older by one year.
– If teams are found to have too many overage players it will be automatically moved into the appropriate category.
– If teams do not comply with this they will not be allowed to play in the tournament and no refunds will be given back.

Cutoff Dates

– U13: 11 January 2004
– U15: 11 January 2002
– U18: 12 January 1999
– U21: 11 January 1996
 – U23: 12 January 1994

Gameday

FOOTBALL RULES
– The laws of the 7 aside football game apply. Read it in full here.

FIXTURES
– Teams will receive their fixtures after clearing their balance and after going through verification.
– Teams that are not on their pitch by the scheduled game time will be taken as a forfeit and a walkover will be given.
– Referee decisions are final and should be abided by.
– Pitch managers have the authority to make final decisions on game disputes.

RESULTS
– After your game, your pitch manager will ask you to sign against a scorecard. Your signature means that your team has agreed to the result of the game.
– Results and table standings will be available on playpass.com/kitocup.

STANDINGS
– Wins = 3 points, draws = 1 point, losses = 0 points.
– The top two teams in each group qualify for the knockout stages.
– If teams are drawn on points, we will look at the following stats:

  1. Goal difference
  2. Goals against
  3. Goals for and,
  4. Head to head

If teams are equal on these two then they are subject to a penalty shootout to determine the qualifying team.

General

LOSS OR THEFT
– Green Sports Africa does not assume any responsibility in case of sport equipment theft or personal belongings of participants at St. Christopher’s Secondary School, Nairobi.

INJURIES OR BODILY DAMAGE
– There are first aiders, paramedics and an ambulance on site should you need medical assistance.
– Green Sports Africa does not assume any responsibility in case of any injuries and bodily damage that may be inflicted while participating in tournament activities.

CODE OF CONDUCT
– All players are expected to abide by our Code of Conduct. Read it in full here.

CANCELLATION OF TOURNAMENT AND FORCE MAJUERE
– In the event that the tournament cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the tournament organisers (force majeure) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence or the tournament organisers, the tournament organisers cannot be held liable by delegates for any damages, costs or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodation costs, costs for additional orders.
– Financial losses, etc. Under these circumstances, the tournament organisers reserve the right to either retain the entire registration/accommodation fee or to reimburse the delegate after deducting costs already incurred for the organisation of the tournament and which could not be recovered from third parties.
– Green Sports Africa is in no way responsible for injury or economic loss which may arise in the case of war, warlike events, civil war, revolution or civil disturbances or because of the actions of the authorities, strikes, lockouts, blockades or similar events.
