Welcome to our 2025–2026 winter wrestling season! This co-ed competitive program is open to athletes ages 6–14 and runs from December through March. Practices are held at Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, IL, and the season concludes with participation in the IKWF State Series, culminating in the Illinois State Championship in Peoria.
We offer a split practice schedule to better serve athletes by age and skill level:
Grades K–3: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:30–8:00 PM
Grades 4–8: Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:30–8:00 PM
This structure provides focused instruction and age-appropriate training in a positive, high-energy environment.
Competitions take place on Sundays throughout the season and are held at local high schools throughout the western suburbs. While tournaments are technically optional, we strongly encourage participation — they’re a fun, valuable way to gain experience and grow. Once registered, wrestlers are welcome to compete in as many tournaments and competitions as they’d like throughout the season, with no additional fees.
What’s Included with Registration:
All training and coaching throughout the season
Use of a competition singlet and headgear (issued by the club and returned at the end of the season)
Access to all scheduled tournaments and competitions, including the IKFW state series (for qualifying athletes)
What’s Not Included:
All athletes are required to purchase a USA Wrestling athlete membership card from www.usawmembership.com.
This card costs and additional $60 (to be paid directly to USA Wrestling) and is mandatory for participation in IKWF events.
