WHAT TO EXPECT
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE:
1) Sign the Waiver. You will not be allowed to attend if the waiver is not signed.
2) Download the GroupMe App and join the LAHG thread. Gamemakers will communicate with tributes through this app. Spectators may also join. (https://web.groupme.com/join_group/67813796/0obPeM5g.
3) Gather non-perishable food items. Every item you bring is an entry for a weapon drawing throughout the game. Here is a link for most needed items. https://veap.org/most-needed-items/
4) Plan your clothing. You will be playing in woods in the dark. Dark colored long sleeves and pants are recommended. Past tributes have found much success wearing camouflage.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE:
1) Park at the end of the road before the driveway. There will be parking signs.
2) Check-in at registration. Previous victors will be permitted to choose their partners immediately. Romantic couples can opt to be partnered with opposing gendered significant others.
3) You will be assigned a backpack and two flags. Place a flag on each hip. You are welcome to fill your backpack with snacks and water provided. The only outside items you are allowed to have are a phone, a charging cord, an external battery, and any medically necessary items (i.e. medications, inhaler or epipen).
3) Roam around the property and scope out the "arena". Note boundary lines and off limits areas.
4) Dinner will be set up below The Capitol. Feel free to eat as soon as you arrive.
THE REAPING
1) Districts are announced at the reaping as two people of opposing gendered teams (In the case of an off number, one team will have three). After everyone has been paired, tributes have ten minutes to make alliances. No alliances may be made before the reaping.
THE GAME
1) Tributes will be gathered in a circle (standing next to their partner) around the "cornucopia" which contains weapons and supplies.
2) A countdown will begin from ten. If a tribute moves before "GO", they are "dead". When the countdown ends, tributes may run toward the cornucopia or run away.
3) Weapons are flour bombs, water blasters, and chalk cannons. All weapons are one time kill and you must let the game makers know you used it via text. If a flour bomb misses a tribute, it is fair game for anyone to pick up and use. Chalk cannons can kill up to two people. When a tribute is hit by a weapon, they must give their flag to the tribute that killed them.
4) Without a weapon, tributes are killed when another tribute has pulled their flag.
5) When a tribute turns in three flags to the game makers, they can receive one weapon.
6) Once dead, tributes must report to the Gamemakers via text or GroupMe and congregate beside the fire or food until they are sent back out as Tracker Jackers or Mutts. If a dead tribute would like to walk around the property, they most wear a glow stick. Tracker Jackers and Mutts will wear glow sticks when going out.
7) A tribute has been killed by a Tracker Jacker when they have been hit by three colors of silly string. A tribute has been killed by a Mutt when both their flags have been removed. Mutts can only be killed by weapons.
8) When four tributes are remaining, they will be called to the cornucopia to fight until the finish. No weapons or immunity can be used during this time.
9) Tributes can win alone or as a district. The tribute will be awarded with various donated prizes and their next game will be free.
10) DEAD TRIBUTES AND SPECTATORS MAY NOT SOCIALIZE WITH PLAYERS STILL IN THE GAME.
THINGS TO KNOW
1) Immunity is in the form of a lei and grants five minutes of protection. Tributes must inform the Gamemakers that they have immunity as soon as they get it and when they decide to use it. Gamemakers will communicate when immunity is used with all tributes.
2) A "Career" is a tribute that makes it to the final three at least three times. Upon arrival to the event, careers will be offered a reward.
3) Previous Victors are able to volunteer as tribute with anyone that is not of the same gender.
May the odds be ever in your favor.
