Please read ALL Important information below prior to completing registration.
Physical Forms: Physical Forms must be completed and turned in prior to any player practicing. You can find physical forms for your health care provider on our homepage under FORMS. Please note, you must also complete the Cardiac Arrest and Concussion acknowledgement forms. Please review the fact sheets provided prior to signing the forms.
Gear Needed: All players will need football cleats(no metal spikes allowed), a mouth guard(buy several as they tend to get lost!), and their own water bottle.
*If you have trouble finding equipment, such as cleats, please reach out to Joey 931-249-8435 for assistance. We collect gently used equipment each year and typically can provide it free of charge!
The season typically runs from July through October.
We will have 2 practices during the week in the evenings. We practice regardless of weather unless there is lightning and/or a heat index warning. We will try to move indoors during these times if we can find the gym space. We rarely cancel practices.
To kick off the season, we will play in a jamboree on a Saturday in August. The date is TBD at this time and we will notify everyone once it is set.
All games will be played on Sundays after the weekend of the jamboree kick-off.
To ensure the safety of all players, there is a maximum weight limit of 110 lbs(without pads) in place for all offensive backs, ends, and receivers to be eligible to advance the ball. Overweight players cannot line up in the backfield or be in motion to serve as a lead blocker.
While we have allowed 2nd graders to "play up" in the past, we will begin being more restrictive this season. We offer flag for K-2 and feel it is best for a player's development to remain in flag until 3rd grade. If you wish for your player to play up, please email northharrisonyouthfootball@gmail.com with your player's name, the number of years they have played flag football, along with their height and weight. Players under 60 lbs and 6 years old will not be eligible and must stay in flag.
North Harrison Youth Football League is a nonprofit organization led by volunteers and parents with a unified goal of teaching players the fundamentals of football in a fun and safe environment. We are very excited for the upcoming season and looking forward to getting back on the field!
