PLAYER CONTRACT AND WAIVER AGREEMENT
By participating in the OBFL, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. LIABILITY WAIVER
I understand that flag football is a physical sport that involves running, contact, and risk of injury. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and release the OBFL, its organizers, committee members, volunteers, referees, and affiliates from any and all liability.
This includes any injury, accident, or damage that may occur before, during, or after league activities. All committee members, volunteers, and referees are acting in good faith to operate and manage the league and cannot be held personally liable or sued for any injury, loss, or incident related to league participation.
2. SPORTSMANSHIP & CONDUCT
ALL PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO DISPLAY PROFESSIONALISM, RESPECT, AND DISCIPLINE AT ALL TIMES.
– ZERO TOLERANCE for fighting, threats, or aggressive behavior.
– NO arguing, harassing, or disrespecting referees, players, or spectators.
– NO racial, sexual, or personal insults — verbal or online.
– UNSPORTSMANLIKE behavior may result in suspension or removal without refund.
– CAPTAINS are responsible for helping maintain control of their teams.
This league is built on competition, community, and respect. Every player represents the OBFL brand on and off the field.
3. LEAGUE RULES & EXPECTATIONS
– Players must be paid and registered before playing. (TEAM FEE IS $780 any additional is +$65 per player max 15)
– Teams must have 12 to 15 players; unpaid players cannot participate.
– Games will begin five (5) minutes prior to the listed scheduled time as a grace period to keep the day on schedule. Teams not ready by then will forfeit the coin toss and may forfeit the game after ten (10) minutes.
– Referee decisions are final; arguing calls will not be tolerated.
– Teams are responsible for picking up trash and keeping the field clean.
– Proper attire is required (team jerseys, shorts without pockets, and flags).
– Flag guarding, stiff arms, or excessive contact will result in penalties.
– Drugs, alcohol, or vaping are prohibited during league hours and on league property.
– EJECTIONS: Any player ejected from a game must leave immediately and may face suspension after review.
– RAIN DELAYS: Games may be postponed or rescheduled at the commissioner’s discretion.
4. MEDIA CONSENT
I grant permission for OBFL to use any photos or videos of me for social-media, promotional, or highlight purposes.
5. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I have read, understood, and agree to follow all OBFL rules, sportsmanship expectations, and liability terms outlined above. I understand that violating these rules can lead to disciplinary action or removal from the league without refund.
