About Somerset Select Sports

WELCOME TO SOMERSET SELECT SPORTS!

Somerset Select Sports is a non-profit 501(c)(3) youth sports organization based in Somerset, NJ. Founded in 2016, Somerset Select promotes the development of the youth of Somerset County and neighboring counties in New Jersey by providing opportunities for boys and girls to grow as athletes and become productive members of their community through organized sports.

Somerset Select currently offers participation in competitive baseball and basketball teams across multiple age groups. We play in high-level leagues across the state, including the Mid-Jersey Basketball League (MJBL) and the US Amateur Baseball League (USABL), in both seasonal leagues and tournaments across all four seasons.

Home basketball games are played at our court at Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 285 Hamilton Street, Somerset, with away games scheduled in nearby towns in Central NJ.

Our baseball team plays games on various fields throughout Central and Southern NJ, and also participates in tournaments within the mid-Atlantic Region (NJ, DE, MD).

We offer teams led by experienced youth coaches and supplement our player development with training provided by professional instructors.

All our activities are built on the foundation of our club's mission: to promote values consistent with a healthy mind, body, and character by providing our children with stimulating opportunities for athletic competition, social and intellectual engagement, and acts of service to our community.

Fee Structure:
We endeavor to minimize costs for participation; as a non-profit organization, our staff members are all volunteers and draw no income from the program. All fees collected go directly to pay league registration fees, officials fees, professional training, facilities rentals, insurance, and general equipment for team use.

Waivers: All players must have a waiver on file; registration is not complete until you have read and electronically initialed the form. A link to the waiver form will be visible as you complete the registration process.
