🏀 3-v-3 Basketball Tournament Rules

Welcome to our 3-v-3 Basketball Tournament! We’re excited to host this community event to raise funds for the youth ministry at Crossroads of Life Baptist Church. We appreciate your participation and support!

Below are the official tournament rules and conduct expectations.

🗓️ Tournament Format

~Game Style: 3-v-3, half-court
~Game Time: 15-minute running clock
~Tournament Format: Double elimination – every team is guaranteed at least two games
~Team Roster:Maximum of 3 players

📋 Game Rules

Scoring:
~ 2 points per basket inside the arc
~ 3 points per basket beyond the arc

Possession:
~A coin toss or shoot for ball determines initial possession
~After each made basket, the opposing team gets the ball
~Change of possession requires clearing the ball behind the arc
~On defensive rebounds or steals, the ball must also be cleared behind the arc

Fouls:
~Call-your-own fouls, which will be monitored by on-site refs/volunteers
~No free throws – ball is checked at the top unless flagrant
~Excessive fouling may result in player disqualification

🛑 Code of Conduct

~This is a family-friendly event to support the Teen group of Crossroads of Life Baptist Church. We ask that all players and spectators maintain a spirit of respect and sportsmanship.

~Foul language will NOT be tolerated
~No arguing with referees, volunteers, or other players
~Aggressive behavior, taunting, or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in ejection from the game or tournament
~Event organizers reserve the right to remove any individual for violations of these rules

💡 Additional Notes
~Bring your own water and gear (ball, shoes, etc.)
~Team check-in begins 30 minutes before your first scheduled game
