Ages: 8-18 (Group A: 8-12, Group B: 13-18)

Clinic Overview:
The Breakout Clinic focuses on refining the critical skills needed for fast starts and efficient turns in competitive swimming. Athletes will receive hands-on coaching and personal feedback to improve technique, speed, and power in these pivotal areas of racing.

Key Clinic Components:
Starts:

Track Start & Block Explosiveness: Learn how to get off the blocks faster with optimal positioning and explosive power.
Dive Angle & Entry: Master the ideal entry to reduce resistance and maximize underwater speed.
Breakouts: Transition seamlessly from your start to swimming strokes with smooth and powerful breakouts.
Turns:

Flip Turns & Open Turns: Detailed focus on fast and efficient flip turns for freestyle/backstroke and open turns for breaststroke and butterfly.
Push-Offs & Streamline: Perfect the streamline technique to gain maximum distance and speed from each turn.
Underwater Kicks & Breakouts: Utilize effective dolphin kicks and breakout timing to gain an advantage off every wall.
Clinic Structure:
Warm-Up: 9:00 AM - 9:20 AM
Athletes will warm up in the pool under coach guidance, ensuring readiness for starts and turns drills.

Starts Focus: 9:20 AM - 10:30 AM
Includes demonstrations, drills, and individualized feedback on block positioning, diving, and breakouts.

Turns Focus: 10:30 AM - 11:40 AM
Focused instruction on proper turn mechanics and underwater breakouts, followed by practice reps with feedback.

Q&A & Cool-Down: 11:40 AM - 12:00 PM
Athletes will have a chance to ask questions, cool down, and review key takeaways from the clinic.

Coaches & Staff:
Lead Coach: Dr. David Hill (MACH Head Coach, 30,000+ hours of coaching experience)
Assistant Coaches: MACH coaching staff, specializing in start and turn techniques.
What to Bring:
Swim gear (suit, cap, goggles)
Water bottle
Towel
Notepad (optional for taking notes on feedback)
