MBO Cycling Collective – Ride Together, Stay Safe, Have Fun!
Welcome to the MBO Cycling Collective! Whether you're new to group rides or a seasoned rider, these guidelines help keep everyone safe and ensure a great experience. Let’s work together to make every ride enjoyable!

🚴 Safety First (No Exceptions!)
Helmets are required—every ride, every time. Safety is non-negotiable!

Lights save lives: A flashing red taillight is strongly recommended (especially at dawn/dusk).

Ride predictably—no sudden moves, and always follow traffic laws (yes, that means full stops at stop signs).

👋 It’s a Group Ride, Not a Race!
We stick together! If the pace feels too fast/slow, let us know—we’ll help find the right group for you.

No-drop rides mean no one gets left behind, but we will push the pace at times. The ride leader will announce regroups.

Running late? Rides leave on time, so aim to arrive early. We’d hate to miss you!

🗣️ Talk It Out (Communication Is Key!)
Hand signals (practice makes perfect!):

Left turn = Left arm straight out 👋

Right turn = Right arm out or left arm bent up 👆

Slowing/stopping = Left arm down, palm back ✋

Shout it out: Call "Car back!" (traffic behind), "Hole!" (pothole ahead), or "On your left!" when passing.

Hold your line—no swerving. Surprises are fun for birthdays, not group rides!

🚦 Road Smarts & Courtesy
Pass only on the left—and always announce it. No sneaky right-side passes!

Drafting? Keep your front wheel BEHIND the rider ahead—no overlapping wheels (trust us, it avoids chaos).

Single up when needed: On busy roads or when cars are passing, we ride single file to share the road safely.

🔄 Regrouping Like a Pro
Pull fully off the road when stopping—no circling in traffic.

Wait for the last rider before rolling out. Team spirit!

⚖️ The Fine Print (But Still Important!)
You’re responsible for any damage to demo/rental bikes in your care.

By joining, you acknowledge that cycling has risks—we’re all here to minimize them together.

🌟 Be a Cycling Ambassador
A little kindness goes a long way! Wave to cars, thank considerate drivers, and represent cyclists positively.

Let’s ride safe, ride smart, and have a blast! See you out there! 🌞🚴♂️🚴♀️
