Community Coming Together
Helping kids develop life skills and coming together as a community is our mission.

What to expect

During the 10 week season we offer a coed flag football skills development and team building program. Once you have registered your child we will begin our season with a skills test of each participant. This is done as to divide the children into teams based on age and skill level. After the coaches have carefully evaluated each participant they will draft the teams. Once the teams have been assigned your coach will reach out to introduce themselves and go over their expectations for the season and answer any questions that you may have. Coaches will be asking for parents to help volunteer for saturday games as a team mom or dad to help with keeping water bottles filled during games, snack distribution and helping the players stay focused and respectful to everyone on the field.

Practice

Practice will be two hours twice a week. During practice your child will be learning skill sets and working with their coach in preparing for game days on saturdays. On practice days we ask you bring a water bottle and wear appropriate attire, such as shorts/pants and T-shirt comfortable enough to move and stretch. Preferably we ask the kids have cleats on practice but not required. Cleats can be of your own choice except NO metal as for safety reasons.

Game Day

Saturdays will be game day and will run at least six hours. You will be provided with a uniform which includes a jersey and no pocket shorts. We will require all players have appropriate cleats and mouth guard for these days as well. On game day we ask all players to arrive an hour before their game to warm up and get with their coach so that they may go over anything before the start of the game. This also ensures we have enough participants to effectively run the games. Keeping in mind we need at least five players to run the game, if there is not enough participants the team will be forced to forfeit the game. Games generally run approximately and 1 1/2. This includes two 20 min halves, plus a halftime to receive a snack and water break. After each game participants will receive a gatorade as well. We will be assigning parents to help with donations for the snack and gatorade. This will be provided to you after teams have been assigned. There will also be concessions available for purchase on saturdays.

More Information

All participants will be given a uniform to keep and will be receiving a participation trophy at the end of the season. If you would like for your participants jersey to have their name placed on it there will be an extra charge. Uniforms are to be used for game days. Please make sure your child is prompt and prepared for each game. Participation is key. In order for your participant to get the full experience we do ask for everyone to be on time and to participate in all practices and games. This not only to show the children how to be committed to a team, but also helps them understand the sense of responsibility. In the event there is a family emergency please reach out to your coach so that they may appropriately make any adjustments if need be. We will also be using the app SportsYou. You will receive a link to our group. This is used to get information out to all parents. We will post event updates, schedule changes, and this is also a way for you to reach out to any and all organization staff. There is a main feed as well as a chat. The main feed is for updates and events. The chat is a way to communicate with everyone. For example if someone needs a ride to practice or has cleat donations they would like to share. Plus just a way to stay connected. If anyone has their own business or services that may help each other please feel free to communicate this in the chat as well.

This program is designed to give the children in our community a place to come and enjoy the world of outdoor sports. In our program we have a 10 week season that includes two days a week practice and games on saturdays. There is a travel league that runs year round please let us know if you are interested in participating with travel.

Fundraising
In helping the participants of this program not only learn sport skills we also will be having fundraising events through out the season and year round. This helps provide the children with the necessary items through out the season. We will post all up coming events in the calendar and are always welcoming new ideas to help build this program.

Family Fun day event
At the end of the season we are planning a family fun day. This is where at the end of a season we come together and enjoy the day with family and friends. Details for this event will be posted in the future.
