PICKLEBALL FOOD PUB LEAGUE RULES

LEAGUE GAMES:
Duration: leagues will be 5 weeks (1 hour per week) plus 1 week playoffs (seeded single elimination tournament) - 6 weeks total

Format: 3 games to 11, win by 2.
Scores to be recorded for all 3 games.
Tie breaker - head to head and point differential.

Scorecards for each court are to be picked up prior to playing and
returned to PFP staff when completed.
Both teams to verify the scores are correct and the winning team is noted on scorecard.
Standings will be updated weekly.

Home team (listed first on the schedule) will decide on serve or side to start the match.
Teams switch sides and serve on subsequent games.
In game 3, teams to switch sides at score of 6.

Subs are allowed if you will not be able to make a league game and must be of equal skill level.

If a scheduled match is not played and all four parties agree to a make-up match, the make up match can be played at the Pickleball Food Pub, but the cost for the court time for the make up match must be paid upon making the reservation.

PLAYOFFS:
The tournament will run from 5pm-10pm on the scheduled playoffs date.
Teams that do not check in within 10 minutes of scheduled start time, without prior approval, will forfeit their match.

Tournament brackets will be emailed to players prior to playoffs.
CHECK YOUR START TIME ON THE PLAYOFFS BRACKET, AS SOME TEAMS WILL NEED TO START EARLIER OR LATER THAN THE ORIGINAL LEAGUE START TIME.

All teams will be seeded, after league play, into a single elimination bracket to be played during the 6th week of the league session.
*If a league has 12 teams, there will be two Groups (Group A and Group B), you will play each team in your group during league play. Top 2 teams in each group will be awarded seeds 1-4, the other teams will be seeded 5-12 into a 12 team single elimination tournament.

Format - 2 out of 3 games to 11, win by 2. Game 3 will only be played if necessary.

Home team is the team with the highest seed.

Subs will be allowed only if they played a league game during the current session in the same skill level.
One original team player must be present to play- COMPLETE TEAM SUBS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.

IF A TEAM CHOOSES TO PLAY IN MULTIPLE LEAGUES IN THE SAME EVENING, THERE MAY BE A CONFLICT DURING WEEK 6 PLAYOFFS.
IF THIS IS THE CASE, THE TEAM WILL NEED TO FORFEIT ONE LEAGUE AND CHOOSE ONE TO CONTINUE TO PLAY.
