Does your child love basketball? Do they want to get better?
As parents, we want to help our children to reach their goals. But we often don’t have the skills needed to get them where they want to go. Not knowing where to begin can be overwhelming.
Or maybe you do know what needs to happen, but your work schedule doesn’t make it possible to put the time in regularly.
The time a player puts into practice makes all the difference in reaching their goals.
Having consistent practice time builds the discipline needed to succeed. That’s why teams have practice. But a player needs to work more than once or twice a week to stand out among their peers.
When you commit to training that produces results motivation and enjoyment grow.
I’ve coached competitive teams ranging from elementary to high school. Now, as a head high school basketball coach, I develop players and teams every year. While some things are more complex at this level, the basics stay the same.
Pass, Shoot, Handle the Ball. These are skills that every player needs.
My training strategy, developed over 20 years of coaching, is straightforward. Fundamental basketball. Growth mindset.
You can expect your child to work for their full hour of training.
First, I put them through drills to assess their skill level and build from there. Each player receives personalized training in the areas needed most. No matter their knowledge or “natural talent,” I work to bring out their best.
