SDES Overwatch Recreational League

Sun Devil eSports presents the first Recreational Overwatch League for ASU students!

Either sign up with your friends on a pre-made team, or join as a free agent and come to our meetup to find a team. There is an 8 player max per team, with a minimum of 6. Team Captains, see below for instructions.

Each team will play 9 games. Two games will be played daily (except Sundays) at 9pm and 9:30pm AZ time (i.e. T1 vs T2 at 9, T3 vs T4 at 9:30 on Monday, T5 vs T6 at 9, T7 vs T8 at 9:30 on Tuesday). Full schedules will be released when the league is full. Games will start promptly, 9PM lobbies will open 10 minutes beforehand, 9:30PM lobbies will open as soon as 9PM games end. If a team is incomplete at game time, they may choose to forfeit or play at a disadvantage for the entirety of the game (if a player arrives after game start time, he may not be used).

All games will be spectated by a league administrator for scoring purposes. Games will be in custom lobbies, with a Bo3 format on KOTH maps.

Currently we are set on a 10 team league, but we will adjust depending on interest. There will be a playoff bracket for the top 6 teams, with the third place match and Grand Finals being hosted live in early spring.

Team Captains

Team Captains will get an email/text asking for the name of their team. After that, team members will be able to register for the team. Members of your pre-made team must wait until they see a registration option for your team to register. Please have at least 4 players committed before registering as a team. You will be able to attend the Free Agent meetup to recruit more, if necessary.
