Lacrosse in Texas is growing and we need more Lacrosse Officials so we can schedule games. The DFW based North Texas Lacrosse Officials Association has training to get you on the right path to officiating games. The NTLOA provides refs for youth/high school/college/post college club games and tournaments in the north Texas area (and Oklahoma).
This is a great way for you to give back to Lacrosse!
FAQs:
Do we Ref for free? No, this is a PAID position and can include comensation for travel. Each game level draws higher pay per game.
How much does it cost? There is an initial training fee plus you have to keep up with a yearly USLacrosse Referee membership. You will also purchase a Referee kit with everything you need to look sharp on the field. However, you will make all that back working a couple of games or 1 day of a tournament.
Do I have to stop playing to Ref? No, many people still play and coach while also being a referee.
What about my busy schedule? The schedulers will work with you to get games that fit your availability. Games get scheduled all week and weekends that we cover.
