The “Battle XXI” separates itself by providing player jerseys, in game equipments, player stats and leaderboards, mic’d commentators, live snack booths, amazing prices to winning teams and the best of all, full media coverage pre-post game player interviews put together in an episodic show format and podcast segments to increase community engagement and involvement to bring a refreshing and exciting atmosphere to the basketball scene in YEG and beyond

Game Format

• General managers managing 8 teams
• If you would like to create a new team, navigate to the "Team Registration" portal. Fill out all the info and create a team name. You can create a team if you have a minimum of 8 players. You can have a maximum of 12 players on your team.
• In season trades allowed
• Teams will play one game per week.
• 4 out of 6 games will be played at Expo Centre
• 2 games will be played at Legacy Athletics Gym
• Round Robin format and teams will be ranked as follows: team with the best record, total points against and points for.
• Playoffs: Single elimination tournament March Madness style.
• 6 Teams make the playoffs. 1st & 2nd Seed get a bye week in the quarter finals
• Minimum of 4 games guaranteed.
• Referees will be available per game.
• All basketball games use a weekly time slot of 1.00 hour.
• The total floor time consists of a warm-up, four 10 minute quarters with a 2 min break in between quarters and a 5 minute half time break.
• One 30sec-timeout allowed in the 4th quarter.

• 3 minute overtime period.

  Season Length
  League will tentatively take place during the following timeline:

• 6 weeks of basketball games starting on May 19th, 2023 - July 30th 2021.
  -4 weeks of regular season games and 2 weeks of playoffs.

  Playoff Format

• Top 6 Teams

• Top 2 seeds get a bye-week in the quarter finals.

• There are no ties in playoffs.

• 3 minute overtime period with one 30-sec timeout allowed.

• A tip-off at centre will start the overtime period.
