Description

Tiger City Baseball is a 9U baseball team based in Springville, AL with players from surrounding areas. The team is coached by Brad Alexander (205-901-8258) and Ryan Hall (205-238-4404).

Player must be registered for tryouts and agree to the following information regarding the upcoming season:

The goal of this program is to improve your child's athletic ability and baseball skills, learn the importance of teamwork, and provide a competitive schedule of games and tournaments to compete at a high level.

The player must be 9 or younger on 4/30/2021.

We will commit to 6-8 baseball tournaments during the spring/summer season. Tournaments are on the weekends in central Alabama.

Regardless of past experiences on baseball teams, each player will be evaluated, selected and placed in positions that are best for the team. They will learn new positions and will continue to work to improve their skill set.

Every player will be responsible for participating in fundraisers and their expenses. We will purchase two uniforms, practice jerseys, helmets and bags. Costs will be provided after the season begins but will be $500-$700. WE WILL OFFER FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES.

Practice will tentatively begin in November and continue through the spring. Players are responsible for attending all practices and not being late. We understand that situations and illnesses arise but each player will need to be committed to practice, their team and winning.

Vacations will be scheduled around spring/summer tournaments and coaches need to know in advance.

Every athlete will be responsible for their behavior. They must be generous when we win, gracious when we lose, respect officials and opposing team, and always be fair. Bad or poor attitudes will not be allowed. Every player will learn to work for the good of their team and build their teammates up.

Parents will do everything possible to help their athlete and team be successful. They will accept the decisions of the umpires with grace and allow the coaches to evaluate those decisions. It is very important that parents and players respect the decisions made by the coaches. During the season, coaches will be available for discussions if problems or questions arise.

Most importantly, we want our players to love baseball and have fun with their team!
