Dear Parent/Guardian:

TurnerHacks is a coding competition which is being held at Turner Fenton Secondary School on June 3rd, 2018. This activity is being held under the supervision of various teachers. This will require your son/daughter to arrive at Turner Fenton Secondary School at 8:00am. Students will stay at the school for the duration of the hackaton and will be provided with breakfast, lunch and dinner free of cost.

This event will require students to adhere to MLH's (Major League Hacking's) code of conduct. Furthermore, students may have pictures taken of them which may be used in promotions later on by MLH, TurnerHacks, Turner Fenton Secondary School and The City of Brampton.

Students will have the opportunity to network with other students in peel and learn from mentors in technology related fields. Furthermore, they will be able to present their ideas and creations to judges who have established themselves in the tech industry.

Student information (parent contact numbers, medical information, emergency contact numbers etc.) has been asked from students and will only be used in the event of an emergency.
