We are excited to launch our girls Fall League for grades 4th-7th. Make sure you register by August 14th to be placed on a team. We will have evaluations for team placement on Sunday August 23rd. Everyone will be placed on a team, but there will be at least one 'Select' Team for each age group that plays matches with other communities. Those invited to the Select Team will pay an additional fee ($30-50) to cover insurance, refs, and gym bookings for travel matches.
All 7th graders will be on a 'Select' team. Please consider trying out for your middle school team BEFORE you register for Volleybears Fall League. You cannot do both.
I hope to have practice and match schedules by evaluation day. We are targeting 6-8 matches and 10 practices with an end of season tournament the weekend of October 31 - November 1st (tentative).
**It is my goal to keep everyone who registers BUT I am limited only by the number of volunteer coaches who sign up. If you have any volleyball playing or coaching experience, please consider volunteering to coach a team so all our girls can play! I plan to host 1-2 coaching clinics to support our coaches in this program**
Practices will most often be held at UA high school. 'Home' matches will also be held at UA high school and 'Away' matches can be held at nearby communities like Pickerington Schools, Worthington schools, Gahanna, or Bexley. There is not a set day of the week for practices or matches. It is dependent on gym availability, but you will hopefully have that schedule by evaluation day.
