Soccer Update

At long last, we are ready to launch our 2023 Season

First THANK YOU to our amazing Coaches and to the parents who have offered to help them! Our coaches are parent volunteers who generously take time out of their crazy schedules to provide this wonderful opportunity for our kids. We will not be charging registration fees or a Soccer fee, but we would like to collect donations for gift cards for our Coaches. Feel free to donate at any time through our Season. (See Katrina Lewis for donations to the coach fund)

We will be meeting on Thursdays from 1-3 at Stan Hedwall Park.
Soccer will start 9/14 and, depending on Weather, might run through 10/26 (The registration screen says otherwise…too challenging to change!)/
Our official age groups will be
5-7**
8-12
13-18

**Siblings ages 3&4 will be allowed to participate IF A PARENT is watching closely and helps when necessary. If the child is disruptive to the coach, they will not be able to continue.
Also, Coaches will NOT be taking kids to the restroom this Season, so please be available to help your children in the event they need to use the restroom during Soccer practice.

Please bring the following equipment:
o Soccer Ball
o Shin Guards (we’ve even had families improvise & make them…or play without!)
o WATER BOTTLE & refills
o Snack
o Chair/Blanket for your comfort while watching practice and/or for kids during water breaks

CODE OF CONDUCT
Parents are still expected to supervise their children and/or to be available quickly to the Coaches should a need arise for their child/children (such as restroom trip or injury).

All students and parents are expected to treat the volunteers and teammates with kindness and consideration. Any disruptive behavior may result in removal from the session and/or season.

Aggressive behavior, roughhousing, insults, foul language and other undesirable traits will not be allowed during our activities. Anyone exhibiting these behaviors will have their parents informed of the behavior and allowed an opportunity for correction. First offense will be 10 minutes of sidelining. Second will be removal from practice for the day and Third will be removal from the Season.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
Please be sure to provide a cell phone number for messages regarding updates with changes to practice schedules. If you are unable to receive text messages, we will attempt to email the alerts to you instead, so make sure we have your correct email address on file.

ATTENDANCE
We are asking for a courtesy alert if your child will be missing practice. This is a new practice intended to help the coaches avoid wasting their valuable time if only a couple of players will be showing up on a given day.

PLEASE NOTE: The electronic registration form lists an OPTIONAL activities fee. IT IS NOT REQUIRED. You may skip the payment screen entirely between registration of multiple children.
