WESTMORELAND 7s PLAYER PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT, LIABILITY WAIVER, RELEASE, CODE OF CONDUCT, AND REFUND POLICY
This Player Participation Agreement, Liability Waiver, Release, Code of Conduct, and Refund Policy is entered into by the undersigned participant in connection with participation in Westmoreland 7s Adult Soccer League.
By signing this Agreement, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to all terms below.
I understand that Westmoreland 7s is an adult soccer league. By signing this Agreement, I confirm that I am at least 18 years old and legally able to sign this Agreement for myself.
I understand that soccer and related athletic activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to running, cutting, sprinting, physical contact, collisions, falls, contact with the ball, contact with other players, contact with goals, uneven or wet playing surfaces, weather conditions, equipment failure, and the actions or inactions of other participants, referees, spectators, volunteers, organizers, or facility representatives.
I understand that participation may result in serious injury, including but not limited to sprains, strains, fractures, concussions, head injuries, eye injuries, dental injuries, heat illness, dehydration, cardiac events, permanent disability, paralysis, or death.
I voluntarily choose to participate in Westmoreland 7s and knowingly assume all risks associated with participation, whether known or unknown, expected or unexpected.
In consideration for being allowed to participate in Westmoreland 7s, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, personal representatives, family members, successors, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and agree not to sue Westmoreland 7s, Brady Braun, league organizers, volunteers, referees, sponsors, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, other participants, facility owners, facility operators, municipalities, property owners, and any other parties associated with the league from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or liability arising out of or related to my participation in Westmoreland 7s.
This release includes, but is not limited to, claims related to personal injury, bodily injury, illness, death, property damage, lost property, stolen property, or any other harm arising out of participation, spectating, travel to or from league activities, use of the field or facility, league events, practices, games, warmups, or related activities.
To the fullest extent permitted by Pennsylvania law, I understand and agree that this release includes claims arising from ordinary negligence by Westmoreland 7s, Brady Braun, league organizers, volunteers, referees, sponsors, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, other participants, facility owners, facility operators, municipalities, property owners, and any other parties associated with the league.
Nothing in this Agreement is intended to release claims that cannot legally be released under applicable law.
I confirm that I am physically able to participate in soccer and related athletic activities. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician before participating if I have any medical condition, injury, health concern, or uncertainty about my ability to safely participate.
I agree not to participate while injured, ill, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or in any condition that could create a risk to myself or others.
In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorize Westmoreland 7s, league organizers, volunteers, referees, or facility representatives to seek or obtain emergency medical assistance on my behalf if they believe it is necessary.
I understand that Westmoreland 7s does not provide medical insurance for participants. I am solely responsible for all medical expenses, ambulance costs, treatment costs, rehabilitation costs, and any other expenses related to injury, illness, or medical treatment.
I understand that I am responsible for bringing and wearing appropriate soccer gear and equipment. This may include cleats, shin guards, appropriate athletic clothing, water, and any personal protective equipment I choose to use.
I understand that Westmoreland 7s may require shin guards or other safety equipment and may prevent a player from participating if the player is not properly equipped.
I agree to respect and help maintain the field, facility, parking areas, restrooms, benches, goals, equipment, and surrounding park property.
I agree that I will not intentionally damage, misuse, move, remove, or alter league equipment, field equipment, park property, landscaping, signage, goals, nets, benches, or any other property.
I agree to clean up after myself and my team, including trash, bottles, tape, food, and personal items.
I understand that any player or team responsible for damage to the field, facility, league equipment, or park property may be required to pay for repair, replacement, cleaning, or related costs. Westmoreland 7s may suspend or remove any player or team that damages or misuses the field or facility.
I agree to conduct myself in a respectful, safe, and sportsmanlike manner at all times.
I agree not to engage in fighting, threats, harassment, intimidation, discriminatory language, aggressive language, abusive language, taunting, bullying, unsafe play, intentional injury, retaliation, or unsportsmanlike conduct.
I agree to respect referees, league organizers, facility staff, teammates, opponents, spectators, and the surrounding community.
I understand that disagreements with referees, opponents, or league organizers must be handled respectfully. Referee decisions during games are final.
Westmoreland 7s has the right to issue warnings, remove a player from a game, suspend a player, remove a player from the league, or remove an entire team from the league for conduct that violates this Agreement or harms the league environment.
I understand that fighting, attempted fighting, threats of violence, aggressive physical contact, harassment, discriminatory slurs, or abusive behavior may result in immediate removal from the game, suspension, or permanent removal from Westmoreland 7s without refund.
Westmoreland 7s reserves the right to determine disciplinary action at its sole discretion.
I agree not to participate while under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, recreational drugs, or any substance that could impair my ability to safely participate.
I understand that Westmoreland 7s may remove or suspend any player who appears impaired or creates a safety concern.
I understand and agree that all registration payments and league fees are non-refundable.
No refunds will be issued for missed games, schedule conflicts, player injuries, illness, suspensions, removals, weather delays, field closures, cancellations, forfeits, team withdrawal, personal circumstances, or dissatisfaction with playing time, team placement, schedule, referees, opponents, or league decisions.
If Westmoreland 7s is forced to reschedule games due to weather, field conditions, facility closures, safety concerns, or circumstances outside of league control, the league will make reasonable efforts to reschedule when possible, but refunds are not guaranteed.
I understand that Westmoreland 7s may delay, reschedule, shorten, relocate, or cancel games due to weather, field conditions, safety concerns, facility restrictions, referee availability, or other circumstances.
I understand that game times, schedules, and league details may change as needed. I agree to check official league communication channels for updates.
I understand that individual players may be placed on teams based on league needs, roster availability, skill balance, and registration numbers.
I understand that Westmoreland 7s does not guarantee team placement, specific teammates, playing time, preferred game times, or preferred opponents.
I grant Westmoreland 7s permission to photograph, video record, and otherwise capture my name, image, likeness, voice, and participation in league activities.
I authorize Westmoreland 7s to use such photos, videos, and media for promotional, social media, website, advertising, sponsorship, and league-related purposes without compensation to me.
I agree that Westmoreland 7s may contact me by email, phone, or text message for league-related communication, including registration updates, schedules, weather updates, rule updates, payment reminders, sponsor announcements, and other league information.
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Westmoreland 7s, Brady Braun, league organizers, volunteers, referees, sponsors, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, other participants, facility owners, facility operators, municipalities, property owners, and any other parties associated with the league from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of my actions, misconduct, violation of this Agreement, damage to property, or injury caused to another person.
I understand that Westmoreland 7s may create, update, or enforce league rules as needed for safety, fairness, scheduling, and league operations.
I agree to follow all league rules, field rules, facility rules, referee instructions, and organizer instructions.
I understand that failure to follow these rules may result in suspension or removal from the league without refund.
If any portion of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.
I acknowledge that I have carefully read this Agreement, understand its contents, and sign it voluntarily. I understand that by signing this Agreement, I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to bring certain claims or lawsuits.
ELECTRONIC ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND AGREEMENT
By typing my full legal name below, I acknowledge that I have carefully read this Player Participation Agreement, Liability Waiver, Release, Code of Conduct, and Refund Policy. I understand its contents and voluntarily agree to be bound by its terms.
I understand that by agreeing electronically, I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to bring certain claims or lawsuits against Westmoreland 7s, Brady Braun, league organizers, volunteers, referees, sponsors, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, facility owners, facility operators, municipalities, property owners, and other parties associated with the league.
I understand that my typed name serves as my electronic signature and has the same effect as a handwritten signature.
I confirm that I am at least 18 years old and legally able to sign this Agreement for myself.
