Boom Boom Leagues - Official Rules
1) Game Duration: Games last for 30 minutes or up to 6 innings, whichever comes first.
2) Time Restrictions: No new inning may begin after 25 minutes of play.
3) Tie Games: Games can end in a tie.
4) Run Rule: A game will end early if a team is ahead by 15 runs after 3 innings, 12 after 4, or 10 after 5.
5) Minimum Players: A minimum of 3 players must be present at game start, or the team forfeits 8-0.
6) Fixed Lineup: The lineup must be set at the start of the game and cannot change. Absent players result in automatic outs until they arrive.
7) Doubleheaders: Each team plays two games each league night.
8) Season Finale: The last week features a Single Elimination Tournament.
9) Seeding: Teams are seeded prior to the playoff week.
10) All games will start on time (8:00PM, 8:30PM, 9:00PM, 9:30PM, 10:00PM and 10:30PM)
11) Players should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to game time. If 3 players aren't available to start the game, on-time, it will result in a forfeit.
12) Adult Baseball Leagues will use Taterballs out of the pitching machine. The machine speed will be set to approximately 55MPH +/- 2MPH (at 45' it is the equivalent of 73MPH).
13) Adult Softball (slowpitch) Leagues will use Taterballs out of the pitching machine. The machine speed will be set to approximately 25MPH.
14) Adult Baseball League players will only be allowed to use properly labeled BBCOR bats or solid wood bats.
15) Adult Softball bats must be stamped with a valid USSA 1.20 BPF logo.
16) The pitching machine will only be adjusted at the beginning of an inning. Should player safety be a concern the umpire may adjust the machine at any time.
In-Game Rules:
A) Umpiring: One Boom Boom Room staff member will act as umpire; their calls are final.
B) HitTrax Decisions: All results by the HitTrax system are final.
C) No Bunting: This is the Boom Boom Room...we don't bunt.
D) Fielding Duty: The home team in each game is responsible for collecting balls at the end of each inning (and at the end of the game).
E) HitTrax Discrepancies: Plays not tracked by HitTrax will be replayed with the same count.
F) Foul Balls and Strikes: Unrecorded foul balls or obvious strikes will be counted as strikes.
G) Conduct: No tolerance for questioning calls, foul language, taunting, or throwing equipment. Such behavior will lead to ejection from the game.
