New features to help you do more with Playpass
Custom domains
We're excited to announce you can now use a Custom Domain with Playpass!
Until now, the most personalized your site's address could be was with a Custom Link like playpass.com/DCYAA or like playpass.com/YSC.
Now, with a Custom Domain, you can use your own domain like www.dcyaa.com
If you already have a domain, we'll help you set it up to be powered by Playpass. All you need is Standard or Pro plan, billed annually.
Or if you don't have your own domain, we'll help buy one for you. And if you already have a website, our Custom Domain feature can power a subdomain like schedules.yoursite.com or register.yoursite.com for your existing website.
Just like everything on Playpass, custom domains come with SSL secure encryption built in.
Ready to get started? Visit your new Settings page to set up your Custom Domain.
Your new Settings page
Now, on your new Settings page, you can personalize your website's address with a Custom Link or Custom Domain.
For invoices, you can now update your company name, billing email, and add any extra info you might need, like a VAT number.
Change your schedule's sport
Now you can change your schedule's sport, without making a new schedule.
From any schedule you manage go to Edit your schedule > Advanced > Change sport
2017, let's go!
Happy New Year. Before we jump into 2017, a quick look back. Playpass finished 2016 with sports organizations in all 50 US States and now 124 countries around the world. Check out our world map of customers.
This includes 12 new countries we hadn't seen before, with organizers now using Playpass in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Cayman Islands, Chile, Ecuador, Kosovo, Macao, Madagascar, Malta, Namibia, Tunisia, and Yemen!
Billing invoices
Need an invoice for your organization or company? Now from Billing > History just tap on any invoice to view it, and even print it.
Free trial
We're happy to introduce a free trial. Get all of the features of our Pro plan, including 0% registration fees, free during your trial.
Upload files and docs
Now you can easily upload files and docs. Plus with 1 click you can attach them to any schedule, activity, page, or your homepage.
You can upload waivers, release forms, facility rules, league bylaws, directions or anything else. Uploads can be Word docs, Excel sheets, PDF's, or images.
Plus each upload has its own page where you can add extra instructions. So your members can easily view it online or download it.
Standard plan's new features
We've just added 2 new features to the Standard plan:
- Create custom pages for your website, ex: past winners, rules, etc.
- Upload files and docs, ex: waivers, facility rules, etc.
- ... plus, you can still add managers to track scores and more
Pricing update
Scheduler
Creating unlimited schedules and customizing them are still a part of Playpass Free. Now, if you'd like to share them publicly, or track scores and standings online, you'll need to upgrade to our Lite plan.
We hope that the time and hassle we save you is worth a few dollars a month. Upgrading supports our ongoing work to improve Playpass and build a long-term, sustainable company.
Registration
We reduced to 0% the charge on payments processed for the Pro plan. Playpass Free and Lite plans are now 3% and 2.5%.
Our Standard plan still has a 1% charge on payments processed.
Create Pages for your website
We're thrilled to announce Pages. Now you can create custom pages for your website with any content, including photos.
You control where each page appears: on your homepage, as a footer link, or during registration as something that players must agree to.
Here are some quick page examples, and where you might want each to appear:
- Terms & Conditions - appear as footer link and during registration
- Rules - appear on homepage, footer link, and during registration
- Winter season promotion (landing page) - homepage only

Create as many pages as you like with our Standard plan.
Edit registrations
Now you can update any registration from Registrations.
We added a receipt number to help you keep track of registrations. Just click on the receipt number to edit any registration.
You can also ask the person who registered to update their information themselves. Either send them the link listed, or tell them to visit My registrations and click on a receipt number.

Schedule photos & team logos
Now you can add a photo to your schedule and a logo for every team. Schedule photos will appear on your homepage and team logos will appear in the standings and on each team's page.
Extra: every schedule, activity, and your homepage have a subtitle (or tagline) that you can use to give extra info in addition to the title (or name).
Search
We updated Playpass Search to help people find your organization and activities more easily.
Also, there is now search for your website to help your members find just what they're looking for within your organization's schedules and activities.
Lastly, search now accepts cities from around the globe. Most organizers using Playpass are in the United States. But, in the last few months organizers have joined from 121 other countries, from Brazil to Mongolia, Senegal to Vanuatu!
Members
Now from Manage Members, you can view all your organization's members in one place and search through them quickly.
Both Members and Registrations let you switch from a list view to a table view, which allows sorting by any column of data. Like everything we build, Members works great on mobile and desktop (try table view - widescreen).
Focusing on your organization
Our design now puts your organization at the front and center of Playpass.
Your new organization homepage focuses on your brand, activities, and schedules. Now there are also search and about pages to help your members search within your organization only, and learn more about the people running it.
Your logo appears at the top of everything you create. Click Preview to see how it will look to your members -- with your logo in the navbar.
Many organizers have their own websites, but a growing number don't. They save on web hosting fees and send all their members to their homepage like playpass.com/WHYS and playpass.com/ABE.
Set your own Custom Link from your homepage > Edit > Advanced. We'll be launching options to customize your website's design, colors, and more soon.
Visibility controls: Publish
We're giving you more control over the visibility of your schedules and activities. Starting now, everything you create begins as a draft, ie. it's not published.
When you're ready, Publish it to let anyone view it.
Go to Edit > Advanced to find more visibility controls.
New navbar and design
We launched a new navbar to help you get things done, faster.
- On the left are action links to Edit, Preview, Share, etc., that are only visible on pages you can edit.
- On the right are dropdown menus to Create and Manage, that are always visible.
This new Manage dropdown is visible on every page and replaces the old Dashboard. Once you're viewing something in Manage, you can use the dropdown arrow below each item for quick actions like Copy and Delete.
The overall goal of the redesign was to make Playpass even easier to use and faster. Headings are bolder, buttons rounder and backgrounds lighter. Everything should load more quickly on your phone, tablet and desktop thanks to native fonts built into each device.

Coupons
We're excited to launch Coupons. Create a coupon to offer discounts to your members during online registration for your activities.
Per coupon, you can set a discount, redemption code, expiration date, and redemption limit.
Coupons can be used any way you like. You can reward loyal members with a discount. Or add coupon codes to a marketing campaign to attract new members. Or give a discount discretely to those who can't afford to pay full price. It's up to you.
