League Rules

Liability:
-All participants in the league assume the risk of injury. White Dog Brewing Co, it's employees and volunteers shall not be liable for injury to person or loss/damage to personal property arising from, or in any way resulting from participation in the league.

Sportsmanship:
-Be a good sport! In the end it's just beer and cornhole. If you aren't we will deal with it. If a player is removed for unsportsmanlike conduct, their team will forfeit that game.

Teams:
-Teams may consist of up to 4 people. 2 players must be selected to play each game. Teams may rotate who plays each game in a match, but cannot be rotated within a single game.

-All players must be over 21.
-No player may be on more than one team.

Game Play:
-All matches will start at their scheduled time.
-If a team doesn't have enough players (min. 2) to start the match by 10 min after the scheduled start time, they will forfeit the first game.
-If a team doesn't have enough players (min. 2) by 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, the match will be recorded as a forfeit and the teams are allowed to use the remaining time to practice.
-Each match will start with one player from each team playing rock/paper/scissors to determine which team will go first. The winning team of R/P/S shall choose to go either first or second. Each subsequent game shall start with the team that won the previous game.

-Each match will last no longer than 30 minutes. If a game is still underway at the end of 30 minutes, the game will end, and whichever team has more points will win that game.

-Games are played to 21 (you do not have to hit 21 exactly).

League Play:
-If a team forfeits a match during the season, the following rules apply
First Occurrence - Loss of all games that night and a warning
Second Occurrence - Loss of all games that night and White Dog reserves the right to remove the team from all awards with no refund.
Third Occurrence - Automatic removal from the league with no refund.

Awards:

  • Top 3 teams shall receive awards at the end of the season.
  • All teams tied in the standings will use the following tiebreakers Most regular season wins Head to head match record Head to head game record If there still is a tie we will play a tie breaking match if time allows!
